MT/YR2 - Marmaris & Datça & Marmaris

Departures on Saturdays

Day 1: Marmaris

On the first day, guests board the Gulet at 15:30 from Marmaris Harbour. Those who arrive early can leave their luggage at our office. The boat will be anchored at Marmaris Harbour for dinner and overnight stay. The most valuable work-piece that can be seen today is the Marmaris Castle. There is also a mosque and an 8-rooms caravanserai covered with arches from the Ottoman Period. Being one of the best-known touristic places of Turkey, Marmaris also has a large marina.

Day 2 : Arap Island – Bozukkale

On the second day, the boat heads for Arap Island, where we will have lunch. After a swimming break, the boat moves on to Bozukkale, the ancient Loryma. Visiting the remains of the fortress, surfing, swimming and diving are all possible at Bozukkale, an incomparable cove of its kind.

Day 3: Datca

On the third day, after breakfast the boat will cruise to Datça. Datça is a peninsula with warm climate and low damp rates. It is a small and fresh town with many historical remnants around. Guests can explore Datça or join the optional Cnidus tour. For dinner and overnight stay the boat will anchor in Datça or at a nearby bay.

Day 4: Aktur – Bencik

On the fourth day, after breakfast, the boat will cruise to Aktur Bay. Then the first stop will be the Bencik Bay; which has a very narrow entrance but a unique view once one gets inside. Bencik is located at the narrowest part of the peninsula that divides Hisarönü Gulf from the Gökova Gulf but it is located at Hisarönü side. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Bencik Bay.

Day 5: Orhaniye – Selimiye

On the fifth day, the boat will be sailing into the Hisarönü Gulf. For lunch, the boat will dock in Orhaniye. The sea of Orhaniye is always as flat as a sheet. The colour of the pine trees that surround the area are reflected on the sea, giving it a shade peculiar to this region. The area is so quiet that when you swim you can only hear the sound you create in the water. Today, the final destination will be Selimiye for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Dirsekbuku – Bozburun

On the sixth day, after breakfast, sail to the Dirsekbükü. Today we are setting sail for the Bay of Bozburun. You are welcome to try your hand at managing the ship under full sails, under the guidance of skipper. Bozburun is a quite little fishing village. In respect to Tourism, it is one of the most virgin parts of the region. It is highly recommended for those who want a quite and calm holiday. There are not so many facilities but there are good small places.
